November 15, Fineko/abc.az. According to Globes, the current cuts in Intel staff in Israel turned out to be not only one of the largest, but also created very nervous atmosphere in the team. As a result of cost-cutting measures, the staff of Israeli Intel developers has been reduced by between 1,000 and 1,400 people, which corresponds to 15% to 20% of their number. Some of the projects were closed.

ABC.AZ informs that a team of 7,000 developers lost between 1,000 and 1,400 people as a result of the cuts. As a result of these events, the number of Intel staff fell below 10,000 for the first time in the previous 10 years.

A distinctive feature of the cost-saving program implemented by the company was the refusal to provide free coffee in offices and to pay for the leasing of a company car. Profile expenses could reach $1,000 per month per person, but under public pressure, free drinks for employees still returned to the office, but for now they will have to pay for leasing mainly at their own expense.
