November 14, Fineko/abc.az. Slovakia will import gas from Azerbaijan in December.

ABC.AZ informs that Slovak company SPP, the largest operator of the national gas energy system in the republic, fearing the suspension of transit through the territory of Ukraine, signed a short-term test contract for the supply of gas from Azerbaijan. On the Azerbaijani side, the partner is state company SOCAR.

The contract period is one month. If cooperation between the companies of Slovakia and Azerbaijan is successful, the deadline may be extended.

SPP currently has pilot contracts for the supply of gas to Slovakia with BP, ExxonMobil, Shell, Eni and RWE.
