October 23, Fineko/abc.az. Green energy corridors Caspian-Black Sea-Europe, Azerbaijan-Turkey-Europe and Central Asia-Azerbaijan-Europe have the potential to transfer about 10 GW of energy between Asia and Europe.
ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Ministry of Energy that Azerbaijani Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov said about this at the III Belt and Road Energy Ministers Conference in China.
The minister noted that cooperation along these corridors, which support the creation of broader integrated regional electricity markets, can contribute to China's goal of carbon neutrality and diversification of energy supplies through green energy imports from Central Asia and Azerbaijan.
China has ample opportunities to participate in these projects through investments and cooperation in development of marine green projects, expansion of power grids, construction of transmission lines, energy storage systems and renewable energy technologies.
As a result of the conference, the Action Plan for cooperation in the field of green energy Belt and Road was adopted.
