October 22, Fineko/abc.az. SOCAR plans to deploy 100 high-speed battery devices in Switzerland by 2026, ABC.AZ informs, referring to SOCAR's Sustainable Development Report 2023.

The report says that the company currently uses 20 fast charging installations, mainly on motorways and in larger areas of the city of Zurich.

As part of the project to build a plant for production of green hydrogen by a consortium of Alpiq, EW Hofe and SOCAR Energy Switzerland, an electrolysis plant with capacity of up to 10 MW is to be built in the municipality of Freinbach.

In general, as a result of the full expansion of the plant at the end of construction to begin in 2025, it is planned to produce up to 1,000-1,200 tons of green hydrogen a year. The extracted hydrogen will be transported via pipeline to SOCAR gas stations, which will be constructed on the Fuchsberg Highway.
