October 22, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan imported 112,504 heads of live sheep from foreign countries for $10.719 million. ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee that the country imported most of all sheep from Georgia (98,800 heads), and at the highest price – from Russia (174 manats).

In total, Russia, Georgia and Kazakhstan became importers of sheep to Azerbaijan.

The average import price of 1 sheep for 8 months of 2024 was $95 (162 manats).
