Azerbaijan's sales of cigarettes abroad increased much

October 21, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan sold cigarettes for $23.54 million abroad in the first 8 months of this year.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee, 1.517 billion cigarettes containing tobacco were exported (3-fold more agianst Jan-Aug 2023).

Georgia boguht 83% of the cigarettes produced by Azerbaijan. Over Jan-Aug 2024, the neighboring country purchased 1.257 billion cigarettes for $21.3 millionin in Azerbaijan.

In the first 3 quarters of this year, enterprises in Azerbaijan produced 11.981 billion cigarettes. This means an increase in production by 5.6% versus Jan-Aug 2023.
