October 7, Fineko/abc.az. All the necessary components for Akkuyu NPP were promptly found and delivered from Russia-friendly countries instead of the disrupted supply from Siemens, ABC.AZ reports, quoting Deputy PM Alexander Novak.

The first batch of components has been delivered to the NPP site.

When it was not possible to reach an agreement with the German company, Rosatom and the Turkish partners quickly carried out corrective measures. Alternative equipment was found in friendly countries and delivered to Turkey. Novak added that the timing of the launch of the first unit of the Akkuyu NPP is being clarified, but all four power units are planned to be commissioned by 2028.

$25 billion from Russia's sovereign funds was spent on the construction of the Akkuyu NPP in Turkey.
