September 26, Fineko/abc.az. Russia aims to produce 540 million tons of oil by 2050, but will coordinate production levels with OPEC+.

ABC.AZ reports, quoting Pavel Sorokin, the first deputy head of the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, as saying this at the session "Drilling cannot stop: Oil Industry Development Strategy for 10 years" within the Russian Energy Week.

"Yes, indeed, 540 million tons is the basic scenario that we are setting," he said.

At that, Sorokin stressed that the levels of oil production in Russia will be determined taking into account interaction with OPEC+ and market needs.
