Ukraine ready to transport Azerbaijani and Kazakh gas to Europe

August 29, Fineko/abc.az. Ukraine is ready to transport Azerbaijani, Kazakh, and "any other" gas to Europe, except Russian gas, after the expiration of the contract with Gazprom, ABC.AZ reports.

"If any European country considers it necessary to receive Kazakh gas, Azerbaijani gas, or any other gas, we are ready to transport it," advisor to head of Ukrainian President's office Mikhaylo Podolyak said.

On August 27, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Kyiv would not extend the agreement with Gazprom for the transit of Russian gas, which expires at the end of the year. Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the Russian President, stated commenting on the Ukrainian authorities' refusal to extend the contract that Russia has alternative routes for supplying gas to Europe.
