July 23, Fineko/abc.az. Thailand’s crude oil imports from Azerbaijan grew almost 8-fold in 2024.

In 6 months of 2024, Thailand imported 376,880 tons of crude oil from Azerbaijan for $234.24 million.

In quantitative terms, crude oil exports to Thailand show annual growth of 674%, and in value terms by 798%. The reason for the higher dynamics of cost growth than the dynamics of quantity is that prices in 2024 are slightly higher than in 2023.

In 2023, a ton of crude oil cost $536 and in 2024 the price increased by 16% to $621.
