July 12, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan continued to purchase oil from Turkmenistan in May 2024, but significantly lower than last year's figure.

In the five months of 2024, 91,550 tons of crude oil were imported from Turkmenistan.

This is 76% less against Jan-May 2023, when 388,150 tons were imported.

The value of imported crude oil is $54.32 million. For the first 5 months of 2023, the value of imported crude oil reached $229.58 million.

Last year, the average price of 1 ton of oil from Turkmenistan was $591.48, compared with $593.37 per ton this year.
