July 4, Fineko/abc.az. Qatar may become a member of international transport corridor North-South.

ABC.AZ reports that President Vladimir Putin said this at today’s meeting with Emir of Qatar Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit.

"A dialogue is underway on the possible connection of Qatar to the North-South transport corridor," Putin said.

In turn, the emir noted that the volume of Qatari investments in the Russian economy and in Russian projects is about $13 billion.

"We intend to increase this figure," Al Thani said.
