June 11, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-May 2024, Azerbaijan exported 5.3 bcm of natural gas to Europe, ABC.AZ reports, referring to the Ministry of Energy.

This is an increase of 500 million cu m, or 10.%, compared with Jan-May 2023.

Meanwhile, Azerbaijan’s overall gas exports for Jan-May 2024 amounted to 10.6 bcm (3.4% more against Jan-May 2023).

During this period, Azerbaijan sold 4.1 bcm of gas to Türkiye, and 1.2 bcm to Georgia. Gas exports to Türkiye decreased by 200 million cu m, or 4.6%, while the volume of natural gas transported to Georgia remained the same compared to 2023.

Over Jan-May 2024, about 2.3 bcm of gas were transported to Türkiye through the Trans-Anatolian Gas Pipeline (TANAP), representing a decrease of 100 million cu m, or 4.2%, compared with the indicator of 2023.
