June 5, Fineko/abc.az. After 30 years, our goal remains the same – to ensure energy security and sustainable development in the region and beyond, ABC.AZ reports, quoting Azerbaijani Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov as saying this during his speech at the Baku Energy Forum.

He added that over the past 3 years, annual gas supplies to Europe have increased from 8.2 bcm to almost 12 bcm. Half of the projected gas exports this year will be supplied to Europe, the minister noted.

"The expansion of the Trans-Adriatic pipeline by 1.2 bcm by 2026 has already been confirmed during ongoing discussions on further capacity increases," Shahbazov stressed.
