June 5, Fineko/abc.az. Negotiations on increasing the export of natural gas from Azerbaijan to Europe are not going so well.

ABC.AZ reports that Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov said about this during his speech at the Baku Energy Forum within the Baku Energy Week.

He added that over the past 3 years, Azerbaijan has increased gas supplies more than by 40%:

“There is a great need to conclude long-term contracts for the supply of gas to Europe."

The minister noted that the EU needs closer cooperation and partnership with Azerbaijan on the occasion.

Shahbazov added that work is currently underway between Azerbaijan and Europe in the field of "green" energy:

"We hope negotiations in this direction will be successful."
