June 4, Fineko/abc.az. SOCAR and BOTAS have signed a number of contracts forn natural gas supply, transportation and transit.

ABC.AZ reports üith reference to SOCAR that the signing ceremony was attended by Azerbaijani Economy Minister and chairman of the SOCAR Supervisory Board Mikayil Jabbarov and Turkish Energy & Natural Resources Minister Alparslan Bayraktar.

The contracts signed following the Agreement on Natural Gas Cooperation between the two countries from May 14, envisage the supply of natural gas by SOCAR to Türkiye, the delivery of Azerbaijani gas to the Bulgarian market through Türkiye, cooperation in gas supply to Nakhchivan and transportation of Turkmen gas to Türkiye through Azerbaijan and third countries.

At the ceremony, an agreement was also signed between the SOCAR and BOTAS, on further gas supply from Shah Deniz field to Türkiye.
