May 14, Fineko/abc.az. As of May 1, 2024, 87.3% of 1,547,914 taxpayers registered in Azerbaijan were individuals and 12.7% - legal entities and other organizations.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Tax Service that compared with Jan-Apr 2023, the total number of taxpayers increased by 7.3%, including the number of individuals - by 7.3% (86.5% of the total increase) and legal entities by 7.8% (13.5%).

The share of legal entities in the total number of taxpayers for the analyzed period made up 12.7%.

The number of commercial establishments reached 180,174 and increased by 8.5% versus Jan-Apr 2023.

Over Jan-Apr 2024, 3,995 commercial organizations passed state registration, including 3,583 ones with local investments and 412 ones with foreign investments.

78.5% of commercial organizations that passed state registration are registered on the basis of applications made in e-form.

The share of e-registration of local investment limited liability companies registered during this period made up 87.9%.

For the past 4 months, 540 LLCs with local investments were registered using the new registration method (PIN + mobile phone number).

The share of this method in the total registration was 13.5%, and in the registration of LLCs with local investments - 15.1%.

In total, 2,587 applications for e-registration were submitted for Jan-Apr 2024.
