May 10, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Mar 2024, an average of 339,000 b/d of oil were produced from Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli field block. In the 4th quarter of 2023, an average of 363,000 b/d of oil were produced, ABC.AZ reports, referring to project operator BP Azerbaijan.
In total, about 31 million barrels were produced, that is, 4 million tons.
On average, 21,000 b/d of oil was extracted from Chirag platform (24,100 b/d in the 1st quarter of 2023), Central Azeri – 92,000 b/d (100,000 b/d), Western Azeri – 79,000 b/d (93,300 b/d), Eastern Azeri – 53,000 b/d (64,200 b/d), Deepwater Guneshli – 63,000 b/d (69,000 b/d), Western Chirag – 31,000 b/d (42,000 b/d).
And for Jan-Mar 2023, ACG total production together from Chirag platform (24,100 b/d), Central Azeri (100,000 b/d), Western Azeri (93,300), Eastern Azeri (64,200 b/d), Deepwater Guneshli (69,400 b/d) and Western Chirag (35,000 b/d) averaged 386,000 b/d, or about 35 million barrels in total, that is, 5 million tons.
Over Jan-Mar 2024, three oil production wells and one water injection well were drilled at the contract block. As of the end of March 2024, 139 oil producing, 43 water and 8 gas injection wells were in operation.
In the 1st quarter of 2024, the State Oil Fund received $1.447 bn from this field. Over Q1 of 2023, SOFAZ's revenue from this field totaled $2.44 bn.
