May 6, Fineko/abc.az. Data on foreign trade in electric vehicles in Germany for 2023 have been released.

The statistical data was prepared by the German Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), ABC.AZ reports with reference to the foreign press.

Germany's electric vehicle exports grew by 58% last year compared with the previous year and reached 786,000 cars. The value of exports amounted to €36 bn.

On the other hand, the German automotive industry produced significantly more electric vehicles in 2023 than in the previous year. In 2023, production increased by 59.9% compared to 2022, reaching approximately 973,000 vehicles, and the cost of production reached €40.4 bn.
