April 17, Fineko/abc.az. As of April 1, 2024, 87.3% of 1,537,952 taxpayers registered in the country are individuals and 12.7% - legal entities and other organizations.

ABC.AZ informs that compared with Jan-Mar 2023, the total number of taxpayers increased by 7.5%, including the number of individuals by 7.4% (86.5% of total increase), and the number of legal entities by 8% (13.5% of total increase).

The share of legal entities in the total number of taxpayers made up 12.7%.

The number of commercial organizations reached 179,026 and increased by 8.7% versus Jan-Mar 2023.

As of April 1, 2024, the number of active VAT-payers in commercial organizations under state registration totaled 36,134 (a rise of 14% against Jan-Mar 2023). The share of VAT-payers in the total accounting was 31.5%.
