February 19, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan, along with Italy, sharply increased natural gas exports to Greece, Romania and Bulgaria in 2023.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee that the country sold 10.71 bcm of natural gas for $8.05 bn to Italy, 1.275 bcm for $470.34 million to Bulgaria, 1.117 bcm for $900.29 million to Greece, 184,290 bcm for $171.25 million to Romania.

In total Azerbaijan exported 26.6 bcm of natural gas for $13.68 bn abroad.

Every 1,000 cu m of natural gas was sold abroad in 2022 at the price of $790.38 and in 2023 it fell by 35% to $513.77.
