Georgia allocated $33 million to buy gas in Azerbaijan last month

February 19, Fineko/abc.az. In January 2024, Georgia imported 287.1 million cu m of gas (206,700 tons) from Azerbaijan (20.2% less versus January 2023), ABC.AZ reports with reference to the National Statistics Service of Georgia.

According to statistics, the cost of gas imported by Georgia from Azerbaijan reached approx. $33 million (a drop of 41%).

According to the National Statistics Service of Georgia, in 2023 Georgia imported about 2.5 bcm of gas from Azerbaijan (1.8 million tons, decline of 4%), spending about $313.5 million for these purposes (decline of 9.2%).
