February 14, Fineko/abc.az. The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) will help in launching and providing raw materials for TK-Oil refinery, built on the territory of the Dangara Free Economic Zone (FEZ) in Khatlon region of Tajikistan.

ABC.AZ reports that Minister of Economic Development & Trade of Tajikistan Zavki Zavkizoda said about this in Dushanbe.

The minister added that on behalf of the President of Tajikistan, this issue was discussed both with the leadership of the relevant ministries and departments of Azerbaijan and with the leadership of SOCAR.

"As a result of negotiations, the parties came to a common decision that SOCAR, taking into account its rich experience and wide potential, will support the TK-Oil refinery both in launching and in further providing it with raw materials," Zavkizoda said.

The minister noted that the Azerbaijani company is currently studying the documentation provided by the Tajik-Chinese TK-Oil refinery.

"Work is underway, we hope that the plant will be put into operation in the near future," he added.
