February 13, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan increased gas exports by 4.5% in January.
ABC.AZ reports that Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov wrote about this on X.
“1.1 bcm of gas was exported to Europe, 0.8 bcm to Türkiye, and 0.4 bcm to Georgia. During this period, TANAP supplied Türkiye with 0.4 bcm of gas,” he wrote.
Azerbaijani gas supplies to Europe began at the end of 2020 via the Trans-Adriatic Pipeline (TAP). Currently, the pipeline's capacity is 12 bcm of gas per year, and it is planned to increase it to 20 bcm by the end of 2027.
The total length of the TAP is 878 km, of which 550 km pass through the northern part of Greece, 215 km through Albania, 105 km along the bottom of the Adriatic Sea and 8 km through Italy.
