February 8, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan registered 1,522,750 taxpayers As of February 1, 2024.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy that 87.3% of taxpayers are individuals and 12.7% - legal entities and other organizations.

Compared to February 1, 2023, the total number of taxpayers increased by 8%.

Last year, the number of individuals increased by 8% and legal entities - by 8.4%.

In January 2024, 720 commercial organizations passed state registration. Of them, 66.1% were registered in e-form and 33.9% on the basis of paper applications.

Out of the commercial organizations registered in January 2024, 628 (87.2%) had local investments, and 92 (12.8%) - foreign investments.
