January 17, Fineko/abc.az. Contracts with various companies have been signed to ensure the production of green energy in Nakhchivan.

ABC.AZ reports that Javid Abdullayev, the director of the State Agency for Renewable Energy Sources, said about this.

"The work on the definition of land plots is almost finished, and we are looking forward to signing executive agreements and investment agreements. Probably, we will soon observe the application of other elements characteristic of the green energy zone in the NAR, in parallel with production from renewable energy sources," agency’s director said.

The technical potential of Nakhchivan green energy is estimated at 5 GW, and there is potential of at least 1,500 MW. The average energy consumption of Nakhchivan is 60 MW.
