January 11, Fineko/abc.az. The Best Choice LLC, the largest company for the production and sale of lavender oil in Azerbaijan, is planning to create an enterprise in Zangilan for production of lavender oil and mountain plants.
ABC.AZ reports, quoting company’s founder and director of Elbrus Ahmadov, that in the coming years, Zangilan will become an important transport and logistics center. This will increase the tourist importance of the area: "We think we will build a lavender plantation in Zangilan with an area of 10 to 50 hectares and invest in this area. Initially, we plan to plant lavender on an area of 10 hectares. In this regard, we have already submitted our project to the relevant authorities."
Ahmadov said that this innovative project will further increase the current tourism potential of the city of Zangilan and the emergence of lavender tourism (medicinal and aromatic plants) in the region as a whole.
