December 26, Fineko/abc.az. The Cabinet of Ministers has amended the Resolution on the use of renewable energy sources in electricity production, approved by the Resolution from May 31, 2021.

ABC.AZ reports that in this regard, Prime Minister Ali Asadov signed a new decree.

Under the decree, a land plot with an area of 300.77 hectares belonging to the category of lands of the state reserve fund, located on the territory of Baku city, Garadagh district, Pirsaat village, is defined as a territory of renewable energy sources for the construction of a solar power plant.

The Ministry of Energy is tasked to select an electricity producer in accordance with the requirements of the "Procedure for selecting an electricity producer in the territory of renewable energy sources".

Control over implementation of this resolution is entrusted to the Cabinet’s Department of Agrarian Ecology.
