December 12, Fineko/abc.az. The largest thermal power plant in the South Caucasus, under construction on the territory of the Azerbaijan thermal power plant in Mingachevir, will be put into operation in the first half of 2025, ABC.AZ reports, quoting Azerenergy’s president Baba Rzayev.

"The construction of the new station is carried out in accordance with the schedule," he emphasized.

Rzayev noted that work is underway to create a solar power plant in the territories liberated from occupation.

"In Jabrayil, together with BP, it is planned to build a solar power plant with capacity of 200 MW. Construction work will begin in the near future," he added.
