November 17, Fineko/abc.az. British company BP sells 779 filling stations in Türkiye to Petrol Ofisi of this country, ABC.AZ reports, referring to Petrol Ofisi.
Along with BP Petrolleri A.Ş., which manages the gas stations, Petrol Ofisi intends to acquire another asset of the British company in Türkiye – BP Turkiye Refining Limited. The conclusion of the Competition Authority is expected to determine prices for these transactions.
In addition, since BP Turkey Refining Limited owns 51% of shares in joint venture ATAS Anadolu Tasfiyehanesi A.Ş., this share comes under control of Petrol Ofisi.
After the official confirmation, BP will completely withdraw from the Turkish retail market. It is assumed that the sales will be completed in 2024, and after that the gas station change will be changed.
But BP will continue its activities, in particular, on the Castrol oil pipeline and the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline, as well as on Trans-Anatolian gas pipeline (TANAP).
