November 15, Fineko/abc.az. The National Priorities of Azerbaijan and the Strategy of Socio-economic Development for 2022-2026 aim to further develop the non-oil and gas economy, strengthen the position in the world economy as a result of the development of human capital, and enter the group of high-income countries.
ABC.AZ reports that Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov said about this at the 2nd Baku Forum themed “Sustainable Finance & Investment” in Baku.
He said that the implementation of the strategy will develop several areas:
“As a result of the implementation of the strategy, it is aimed to see 3-4% annual growth in the country's economy, and the non-oil and gas GDP by an average of 5% annually, as well as to increase the share of the private sector in the economy to 88%, and the volume of non-oil-gas exports by 85% in 2026 compared to 2021.”
