November 2, Fineko/abc.az. Measures to ensure transparency of public procurement are underway in Azerbaijan.

ABC.AZ reports that Economy Minister Mikail Jabbarov said this during the discussion of the package of the State Budget of Azerbaijan for 2024 at a meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on Economic Policy, Industry & Entrepreneurship.

He said that on behalf of the head of state, the conditions for attracting investments have been changed.

"Currently, work is underway to promote the strategic currency. Both an incentive and the development and implementation of new tools are very necessary. Another important issue put before us is the increase in dividend payments by large state-owned enterprises, enterprises in whose shares there is a state share. There is a positive trend in this direction. In 2023, 87 state-owned land plots were privatized. In order to improve the health of eight large State-owned enterprises and attract private investment, measures are being taken to reduce the state's share in these enterprises. In this regard, consultations with international consultants have begun, work on the preparation of proposals," the minister said.
