October 31, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Aug 2023 EU countries Italy, Greece and Bulgaria increased gas imports from Azerbaijan by 5.9% against 2022, up to 322,509 terajoules, ABC.AZ reports, referring to Eurostat.

The cost of gas imported from Azerbaijan in the EU countries reached 4.179 bn euro (decrease of 2.1-foldversus Jan-Aug 2022).

In August, EU countries increased gas imports from Azerbaijan by 4.5% year-on-year, up to 40,310 TJ, having directed 327.457 million euro for these purposes (declined of 5.3-fold versus Jan-Aug 2022).

According to Eurostat, in 2022, EU countries imported natural gas from Azerbaijan for 15.599 bn euro (a rise of 4-fold a year).
