October 27, Fineko/abc.az. The Trans-Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) can supply Azerbaijani gas to more than 10 European countries.

ABC.AZ reports that Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov informed about this.

"TAP is a strategic project that diversifies Europe's energy supply in the most difficult moments, guaranteeing uninterrupted supplies of natural gas from a reliable source. Having started operating in full mode in a very short time, TAP last year increased gas supplies to Europe by 40% - up to 11.4 bcm. Italy alone accounted for more than 84 percent of this volume, or 9.6 bcm. TAP has already established itself as a project that promotes energy supply and environmental protection, as well as serves energy security. TAP has the prospect of supplying Azerbaijani gas to more than 10 European countries, and development of this project is necessary for sustainable energy security," he said.
