October 24, Fineko/abc.az. The Azerbaijan Institute of Standardization (AZSTAND), subordinate to the State Service for Antimonopoly Supervision & Control of the Consumer Market, has adopted state standard AZS EN 13501-1-2023 "Classification of construction products & materials for fire hazard" on the basis of the European standard. Part I. Classification of building products according to the results of fire hazard tests" and state standard AZS EN ISO 11925-2:2023 "Building materials – fire resistance tests – flammability under direct flame exposure – Chapter 2: tests with one flame source".

ABC.AZ reports with the Azerbaijan Institute of Standardization that this standard was developed in order to define the principles of classification of building products and materials for fire hazard, including products and materials used in building structures, safety in the construction sector in the country.

The new state standard was submitted for discussion in the technical committee (AZSTAND/TK 10), approved by the Institute and entered into the State Fund of Normative Documents on Standardization.
