October 18, Fineko/abc.az. A control & coordination center for unmanned aerial vehicles flights will be established in Azerbaijan.
ABC.AZ reports that this was reflected in the new Draft Law on Aviation which, discussed at today’s meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on Economic Policy, Industry & Entrepreneurship.
Under the draft, an unmanned aerial vehicle will be understood as any aircraft that flies or is controlled remotely in autonomous mode without a pilot on board.
An individual performing duties relating to the operation of a UAV and performing remote control of a UAV during flight will be a pilot (operator) performing remote control of a UAV.
UAV systems will be considered as equipment for a UAV and its remote control.
Any device, equipment, spare parts, thing or software that ensures the safe operation of a UAV and is not part of it, as well as not carried on board, is equipment for remote control of a UAV.
