October 9, Fineko/abc.az. The depreciation of the ruble in Russia has affected the prices of construction materials imported in Azerbaijan from this country.

ABC.AZ reports that the greatest reduction in price is observed for wood. Wood, which last year rose in price to 450 manats per cu m, is now offered for about 300 manats.

A decrease in the price is also observed on plywood. The cost of 18 mm plywood decreased from 40 to 20-25 manats.

As a whole, there is decline in prices for lumber. In addition, there is reduction in prices for roofing materials by 3 manats.

The price of rebar has fallen as well against 2022.

Sellers also link cheapness with a large number of materials.

Economist Khalid Kerimli says that depreciated Russian ruble can make the products of this country more accessible to Azerbaijani buyers.
