Restriction on Russian poultry meat producer lifted

September 25, Fineko/abc.az. The temporary restriction imposed by the Food Safety Agency (AQTA) in connection with the identified discrepancy (salmonella <25 gr.) in the meat product of the Blagodarnensky poultry processing plant of Stavropol Broiler LLC imported from the Russian Federation has been lifted.

ABC.AZ reports that based on the relevant notification by the Federal Service for Veterinary & Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor), veterinary control measures and lab tests were carried out at the manufacturing enterprise.

AQTA was informed in detail about the appropriate health measures and epizootological monitoring.

Taking into account the guarantees of compliance by the Russian Federation with veterinary standards and requirements, as well as relevant requirements for mutual import-export operations, including close cooperation between the two organizations, the temporary restriction on the import of products of the specified manufacturer to our republic has been lifted. In connection with the decision, AQTA sent a relevant notification to Rosselkhoznadzor.
