September 19, Fineko/abc.az. The world's diesel fuel producers are no longer able to produce it in the quantity that is needed to satisfy the needs of all consumers, ABC.AZ reports, referring to experts of Bloomberg agency.

While oil futures are rising rapidly - their price was just below $95 per barrel in London on Friday - this rally pales in comparison with the sharp rise in diesel fuel prices. On Thursday, diesel fuel prices in the U.S. jumped above $140, reaching the highest level for this time of year. The European equivalent has soared by 60% since the summer.

Saudi Arabia and Russia have restricted oil production. On September 5, both countries - leaders of the OPEC+ alliance - announced that they would extend these restrictions until the end of the year, when fuel demand usually increases.
