September 13, Fineko/abc.az. After the launch of the 230 MW Shafak solar power plant to be built in Jabrayil, BP will increase associated gas deliveries to Azerbaijan, ABC.AZ reports, quoting Ibrahim Teregulov, BP's director for production at Sangachal terminal.

Teregulov noted that the reason for increase in the supply of associated gas is compliance with the requirements for zero carbon emissions: "Currently, seven turbines with capacity of 22 MVA are operating in Sangachal district. Five of them are intended to provide electricity to Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli block of fields, one for Shah Deniz-1 and another one for Shah Deniz-2. After the launch of the solar power plant in Jabrayil, we will receive electricity from Azerenergi OJSC.
