September 5, Fineko/abc.az. The share of Armenian-Turkish trade turnover in Armenia's foreign trade is 1%. In case of launching direct trade between Yerevan and Ankara, this indicator may increase to 10% or more, ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Ministry of Economy of Armenia.

The Ministry clarifies that they do not have their own analysis on this matter, and the data is averaged and taken from a number of international organizations.

Thus, according to the World Bank, the export potential from Armenia to Türkiye is from 15 to 19% of Armenia's GDP. The Asian Development Bank (ADB) predicts a reduction in Armenia's foreign trade deficit by 30-50% in the event of the opening of the border with Azerbaijan and Türkiye.
