August 31, Fineko/abc.az. The United States has expanded the list of countries that are subject to restrictions on the AI chip exports from technology corporations Nvidia and Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) to include several countries in the Middle East.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to Reuters that the restrictions will apply to artificial-intelligence chips.

Reuters does not elaborate on the countries to be affected by the new restrictions.

According to AMD, the measures will not have a serious impact on the company's earnings. According to Nvidia, US officials believe that this step will allow Washington to reduce the risk of these high-tech products getting into China, where they can be used, including for military purposes.
