The price of October futures for Brent crude on the London ICE Futures exchange fell by $0.01 (0.01%) by 09:28 to $83.20 per barrel. As a result of trading on August 23, Brent oil futures for October fell by $0.82 (0.98%) to $83.21 per barrel.

The cost of WTI oil futures for October in electronic trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) by 09:28 fell by $0.08 (0.10%) to $78.81 per barrel. As a result of trading on August 23, the price of the October futures for WTI oil fell by $0.75 (0.94%) to $78.89 per barrel.
