Annual inflation in eurozone increases

The European Statistical Office (Eurostat) has published the final inflation data for the European Union (EU) and the eurozone for July.

According to ABC.AZ, inflation in the eurozone decreased by 0.1% in July compared to the previous month, and annual inflation was 5.3%.

Annual inflation in the EU was 6.1% in July, compared with 6.4% in June.

In July 2022, inflation was 8.9% in the eurozone and 9.8% in the EU.
In the eurozone, services accounted for 2.47% of inflation, food, alcohol and tobacco products for 2.2%, and non-energy industry products for 1.26%.
Annual inflation in July was 17.5% in Hungary, 10.3% in Poland and Slovakia, 10.2% in the Czech Republic, 8.9% in Romania.
Inflation for the period was 6.5% in Germany, 6.3% in Italy and 5.1% in France.
