Over the seven months of this year, electricity production in Azerbaijan increased by 45.4 million kilowatt-hours, that is, by 0.3%, to 16.323 billion kilowatt-hours compared to the corresponding period last year.

ABC.AZ reports referring to the Ministry of Energy that for seven months, electricity generation at thermal power plants amounted to 14.995 billion kilowatt-hours, at hydroelectric power plants - 1.107 billion kilowatt-hours, and regarding other sources - 220.3 million kilowatt-hours. 

During this period, 37.6 million kilowatt-hours of electricity were produced at wind farms, 39.6 million kilowatt-hours at solar power plants and 143.1 million kilowatt-hours at a solid waste incineration plant.
Export of electricity for seven months amounted to 1.277 billion kilowatt-hours, and import - 157.6 million kilowatt-hours.
