August 1, Fineko/abc.az. In the 1st half of this year, the number of containers transported between Turkmenbashi International Seaport and the Baku International Trade Sea Port reached 2,362 TEU.

According to the Naval Merchant Fleet of Turkmenistan, this is 2.9-fold times more versus Jan-Jun 2022.

Of the total cargo transportation, 25% is imported, 34% is exported and 41% is transit transportation.
The total cargo transportation by merchant marine vessels for the first 6 months of this year amounted to 1,150,500 tons, an increase of 31.4% versus Jan-Jun 2022.
