July 31, Fineko/abc.az. Suleyman Gasimov, who held the post of vice president of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), has been appointed the advisor for economic issues to SOCAR president Rovshan Najaf.

ABC.AZ reports that Gasimov will also continue to hold the post of chairman of board at Petkim and will remain a member of board at SOCAR Türkiye and SOCAR Ukraine.

Gasimov has been working as SOCAR vice president for economic issues since 2006.
In accord with last year's management reshuffle of SOCAR's subsidiary in Türkiye, Petkim Petrokimya Holding AS (Petkim), Gasimov heads the Board of Petkim. In this position, he replaces the ex-president of SOCAR, the current Deputy Economy Minister Rovnag Abdullayev.
