July 25, Fineko/abc.az. Hong Kong took the 1st place in the list of the most expensive cities for foreigners to live in.

ABC.AZ reports that the list of the most expensive cities for foreigners to live in is published annually by Mercer consulting company.

Among the factors considered by the compilers of the list are the cost of housing, transport, food, clothing, entertainment and services. In addition, they took into account fluctuations in the exchange rates of national currencies. The standard of living in New York was taken as a basis.

Hong Kong is followed by four Swiss cities: Zurich, Geneva, Basel and Bern. Behind them are Tel Aviv, New York, Singapore and Tokyo. Beijing closes Top 10.

At the very end of the ranking are Dushanbe, Bishkek and Ankara — the 225th, 226th and 227th lines in the list.
