July 25, Fineko/abc.az. A jury in Waco, Texas, USA, concluded last Friday that Google violated the patent rights of software developer Touchstream Technologies by using the latest streaming technology in its products.

ABC.AZ reports that according to court's decision, Google must pay $338.7 million in damages to the injured party.

The court concluded that Chromecast and other Google devices violate Touchstream Technologies patents related to video streaming from one screen to another.

A Google representative, in turn, said that the company is appealing the verdict because "it has always developed technologies independently and competed with others based on its ideas".
