July 20, Fineko/abc.az. Masdar (UAE) will soon attach the attracted loan to finance the project of the Garadagh solar photovoltaic (PV) power plant with capacity of 230 MW, built in Azerbaijan, to the account of the "green" bond issued by the company, ABC.AZ reports, quoting Masdar’s finance director Niall Hannigan.
He said that Masdar has carried out the debut issue of "green" bonds in the amount of $750 million. This will allow the company to close the transitional loans in the amount of $250 million raised for each of the projects of the Garadag solar power plant in Azerbaijan and the offshore wind power project with capacity of 500 MW in Uzbekistan. The remaining $250 million will be allocated to three solar energy projects in Uzbekistan, the financing of these projects will be completed in the near future.
